APC begins Violent Campaign ahead of 2015 elections

Speaking in Owerri during the 3rd APC progressive governance series, the party Chairman, Chief John Oyegun said, the APC would make sure Nigeria doesn't survive another four years, should President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP win next year’s Presidential election in Nigeria. This is coming after Nigerians had received series of threats from both the party leaders and its members.

While addressing party spokespersons from 36 state chapters on Tuesday, Lagos State APC chairman, Chief Henry Ajomale, also stressed on the need for the party to call for violence by advising APC members to draw up approaches to tame the PDP, in the buildup to the 2015 elections.

Nigerians are deeply troubled by the persistent threats by APC leaders and its members, aimed at intimidating the electorates into dancing to their tune, We begin to wonder who benefits from these types of violent rhetoric. Why should any Nigerian accept and, or act on such provocations, considering the history of post-election violence in Nigeria. It is not productive or reasonable to incite violence at any level, even if you perceive any form of misconduct.  With the horrific carnage that this country has seen via insurgency, it is wisest that peace be allowed to reign.
